You will find these rustic-style holiday huts at an altitude of 1711 meters above sea level, on the border between Carinthia and Styria. Experience the tranquility of nature while enjoying unforgettable moments in the largest pine forest of Europe. You will arrive as a guest and leave as a friend! Enjoy intimate moments in Almgasthaus or at the village café where you can indulge yourself. New in the village café: “Apreski bar" every day on the sun terrace, weekly Carinthian and Italian buffet, domestic and international courses, child care on demand, evenings with live music, bread and breakfast service, child corner in the restaurant and catering (select your favorite dish from the menu). This area also offers plenty of outdoor activities: hiking, climbing, mountain biking, fishing, volleyball, natural track bowling, golf, swimming, boating, hunting, tennis, summer toboggan run, running, Nordic walking, archery and barefoot hiking. The highlight is "the way of the senses" - a path winding past 3 lakes. You can also choose from other spa and indoor offerings such as: meditation, yoga, relaxation training, sauna area with Finnish sauna, infrared cabin and a relaxation room. In the summer of 2010 a petting zoo will open, complete with adventure playground and lots of colorful children and family programs.

Carefree living in a generously equipped cabin for 6 persons, with a sunny terrace and wonderful views! This lodge has a total area of 70 m² and contains 2 x double bedrooms, each furnished with one extra bed, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave), a shower and 2 toilets. The living room has a sofa bed, a wood-burning stove and a satellite TV. In the holiday village (outside the hut) there is a sauna building containing a Finnish sauna and bio sauna. Use of the sauna is free!

The Turracherhöhe - nestled in the Nock Mountains – is situated between Carinthia in the south and Styria in the north. This area lies within the territory of two regions - the Nock Mountains (Carinthia) and the Mur Valley (Styria). The Nock Mountains are Europe's only national park in the high mountains, with the largest spruce, larch and pine forests in the eastern Alps. On both sides of the road you will find an extensive network of hiking paths with numerous, well-marked trails. Guided walks are offered. The area is also ideal for mountain bikers. Turracher Lake, Schwarzsee and Grünsee are the three picturesque mountain lakes that make the Turracherhöhe so unique. The Kornockbahn has a modern 6-seat chairlift that takes you (in the summer) to the Turracherhöhe, at an altitude of up to 2,205 meters above sea level. At the 'Nocky-Flitzer' there is a spectacular alpine toboggan run that can be used in both summer and winter. This toboggan run has a length of about 1,580m which includes 3 whipping tops, mogul runs and jumps. It also ensures maximum safety for children as well as adults. If you would like to take a stroll through a city or do some shopping (journey time 60 minutes maximum) we recommend Carinthia Feldkirchen, Klagenfurt, Villach and Spittal an der Drau, Murau in Styria and Salzburg Tamsweg.

The accommodation is about 1.5 km from the slopes.
You get to the sloped either with the free shuttle bus or by the own car.

The huts are situated close to the ski area (from the house you can ski right to the slopes) and are accessible by car all year long (in winter snow chains are required). The Turracherhöhe is one of the snowiest regions in Austria and lies within the beautiful Nockberge National Park. From the holiday village you can ski directly to the slopes or take the shuttle service to Turrach Lake. The ski area lies between an altitude of 1,400 and 2,205 meters above sea level and is equipped with 14 ski lifts: three 6-seat chair lifts, 1 wagon train (8-person cabins and 6-person chairlift) , 1 chair lift, 8 ski lifts and 1 lift for children. In Sonnenbahn you have the possibility of night skiing and night tobogganing 2 x per week. There are 38 kilometers of varied pistes with a range of difficulty levels: 13 km light (blue), 22 km intermediate (red) and 3 km of difficult (black) runs. Adult Ski Lift Ticket price examples: a day ticket (from 9 o'clock) costs 34 EUR while a 6 day pass costs approx. 159 EUR (with contact-free ski pass system for all types of cards). You have, of course, many alternatives for an active or wellness holiday, such as: night skiing, a ski school in the village, sauna area with Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, plunge pool, relaxation room and outdoor area, ski tours, snowshoeing, skiing, sleigh rides, 25 kilometers of cross-country skiing (double tracks), ice skating and curling on Turracher Lake.

The ski area of "many small sensations." The Turracher Höhe is one of the snowiest areas in Austria and is completely covered in snow during winter. The start of the ski season is always very early, sometime in November, and lasts until early May. The ski lifts are naturally attractive and comfortable. "Turrach-Round 2,205 m" offers the possibility to discover the Turracher Höhe on pistes and lifts from all sides – this is a unique ski & outdoor experience… What makes the Turracher Höhe so unique are the many little sensations that guests can enjoy. For example, at the most beautiful spots of the ski area you will find (free) chairs for sunbathing. There's also a butler service which is quite popular - he takes care of the guests, serving them champagne and providing small snacks for the children. Otherwise, he makes his rounds on his Ski-Doo answering questions and helping guests. The "living room" of the Kornockbahn Valley Station is a casual place to warm yourself while keeping up with the major sports events on the big screen TV. The "Wärmflaschl" in the Sonnenbahn railway station is another place where you can keep warm.
